Setting/Location
We chose to split our treatment up between us, we thought it would be a great way to manage our time and they will be done in more detail.
When picking our location we wanted to makes sure the location would be conventional to our genre, and matched our targets audience results. We wanted to have the first part of our opening to be set somewhere with no one around, giving it a eerie and mysterious feel to it. We chose to set the first half of our opening set in a forest. This would make it familiar towards the audience, making it relatable, but also makes the characters seem vulnerable. It would also build suspense, getting more of a reaction from the audience, which is exactly what we want. When Ryan was out looking for this type of setting he came across 3, once taking photos of them all, we all had a discussion to which one we thought would look and suit our opening the best. As a group we came to the decision to have forest number 3, this was because it had more woodland in it and looked far away from the town. Apart from the woodland in our montage we are choosing to have lots of different locations as well as the forest. These included a children's playground, we will be having one child (played by Ryan's little sister) dressed like a normal little girl but in a zombie form, holding a bloody teddy bear. We chose this because the audience will be able to relate to it but it wouldn't be the normal way they would associate with a park, because of this it would keep the audience on edge. Another setting would be a narrow street, that Ashlea suggested, we would film close to dusk, giving this shot a creepy and abandoned feel to it. We chose this to be a part of our opening because it give the opening a little bit of mystery, and shows everywhere (and maybe everyone) is dead with no one around. When doing our audience research we found most of our target audience are under 18, because of this we came up with the idea of having a shot of a class room in our montage,we would make it look messy and abandoned by turning tables and chairs upside down, it would be relatable but would also show how things are not right, keeping the audience interested. And lastly I came up with the idea of using my caravan in my garden, because it hasn't been used for a while and looks abandoned giving it a realistic feeling of everything being gone with out doing anything to it.

Actors/Costumes/Make-up
When choosing actors we wanted to make sure we would get actors who could work well together and have a good relationship. In our opening there are 2 female main characters aged about 15-16, they would be "blogging" making it relatable to the audience as this is what most teenagers are interested in. After having a discussion to who our actors will be, we came up with fiends Jess Perillo and Lucy Bearpark. We wanted these two as our heroines because they both have acted in a few theater productions together, have a healthy, light-hearted friendship and have shown that they work well together. Lucy's and Jess's costume will consist of colours white, cream and pick. This will connote innocents, purity and vulnerability. Jess will also have something black within in her costume because this will show that something will happen to her later on in the film. As for make up, the two girls will be having a natural simple make-up look to show them as natural, everyday teenagers. Jess towards the end will be having a latex wound on her arm or neck to show how she has been bitten and is injured.
We will also be having Ryan playing as one of our zombies (antagonists), this is because we wouldn't need to ask or advertise for another actor, he is also taller than Jess and Lucy, making him more intimidating towards them. Lastly he is also the same age range as the other two girls, this will be effective to the audience because it shows that the danger in the film can happen to anyone. Ryan will be wearing casual clothing, such as jeans, t-shirts and a hoodie. With shades and colours of blue, blacks and greys, showing the difference between the characters and how he is dangerous. He will have rips and blood stains in his clothing, and will have latex make up on his arms and face to make him threatening to the other characters and the audience.

The last actor we will be having is Leah, who is Ryan's little sister aged 10. We have asked Leah to be our actor for our little zombie girl in the park because she is at the correct age and height for the role. She will also come across as very innocent but creepy too. At first me and my group wanted to have her dressed in a pink part dress, but we found this hard to make happen due to finances, so instead we have chosen to have her dressed in causal clothing, but still in the colour pink. This is because it makes her look vulnerable but is also a stereotypical colour for a little girl, helping the audience know the character easily. Like Ryan she will have latex make-up and fake blood on her clothes, making her threatening to the audience, but also make them feel sorry for her because they will see how this could happen to anyone.

I was in charge of getting the actors, but as a group we made the final decision. I contacted the actors via Facebook Messenger:

Props
In our opening we won't be having many props, however the props that we are using will be the focus of a single shot each. We will be using a teddy bear during the park scene for Leah, we will be covering it with blood, making it look creepy and threatening to the audience. We will also be using Lucy's phone as a prop for when they are blogging, this makes the opening more realistic and the audience will be able to relate to it. Lastly we will be using a knife, this will be for a shot in our montage, the knife will be stabbed in to the ground with blood on the blade of the knife. At this point in the montage we will be having a crescendo, this will be effective because it will make the shot more dramatic. When seeing a knife cover in blood we would associate it with danger and death, this will build tension, getting a response out of the audience.
