Feedback

For our feedback we chose to use two different types of techniques, the first one being a focus group and the second being a questionnaire. For our focus group we wanted to get people from our A level media class. This was because they would be able to visually see our rough cut then straight away give us their opinion, but with more knowledge of film openings. With our questionnaires we chose to get random people from our sixth form this was because these people would have never seen our opening and would give an honest opinion, helping us with improvements.

Below you can see the video for our focus group, before recording we showed the group our film opening, then told them that we would be asking them a series of questions. Having similar questions to the questionnaire meant we had similar responses from them too. This backed up information and made it easier to know what needed to do be improved and developed. Having media students for our focus group was a good idea, this is because they understood different types of camera work, sound techniques and editing techniques. A focus group gave the students more freedom and let them explain and expand their answers, giving us more detail and data to go on.

Focus Group

Overall the media students had the same sort of answers as the questionnaires, but liked the film opening. Because we was given the same sort of answers as the questionnaires, we will be mainly focusing on exploring different types of camera and editing techniques, trying to make it look more like an film opening and less like a trailer and lastly adding in more sound effects such as Foley.

Questionnaires

Making a questionnaire gives us further information and wider range of audience, we wanted to create an questionnaire because our audience would give honest opinions about our film opening, making it helpful for us to know what we need to improve.
