2012

Again, low key lighting like the opening to The Road. Creates suspense and tension.

Common colours that are used are blues, greys and silvers. Give the poster a metallic feel, almost like a lifeless feel.

The title of the film is in the same colours as the sky (and the rest of the poster) connoting they are linked.

One of the main focuses on the poster is the piece of land/earth that is broken off , falling in to the ocean. This could have a deep meaning of the world is falling apart piece by piece.

All writing that is on the poster is in capitals. Meaning that all of the writing is important (like the font in the opening Zombieland) , it also makes the audience drawn to the poster. From this we might use capitals in our opening.

In the distance we can see out lines of statues and tall buildings, the only type of tall buildings and possible statues that are common in places are big cities. This suggest that the film will be set in a city, all setting that have come up in the film openings I have looked at have all been set in one.
